If by now you think whether anti-barking devices could go that extra step, then StopWoofer is what you’re looking for. It has not one, not two, but four sound modes! Like most devices on our list, this one produce ultrasonic waves only heard by dogs. But that’s not all – StopWoofer has a specific 25 KHZ sound to achieve maximum results. Besides, this device works on dogs of all sizes, particularly 5-120lbs (2.2-54.4kg). Also, unlike most ultrasonic devices, this one suits dogs under 1-year-old – 6 months to 8 years, to be precise. Finally, StopWoofer has an automatic shut-off after 8 seconds, so you wouldn’t accidentally overuse it. Even though ultrasonic waves are safe for dogs, using them too long could desensitize them.
Design
StopWoofer, just like most anti-barking devices, is lightweight and portable. It could fit in a bigger trouser pocket or be held in your hand. This device also includes a lanyard so you can carry it hands-free. Made of durable materials, StopWoofer feels solid and should not get damaged easily. Besides, its blue exterior should be easy to spot in the grass or a bag. The lanyard can be hung around the neck, so there’s even less of a chance that you’ll end up losing it. It should also make it more convenient when playing or actively training your dog.
Ease of use
As we mentioned before, there are four modes available – two for sound and two for ultrasound, both controlled by their specific buttons. There are only two buttons – Sound and Ultrasonic – by which you can switch between modes. One press of the Sound button would issue 2-3 seconds-long beeps to attract attention. By keeping the Sound button pressed, the device would issue a continuous beeping sound. Sound mode is audible for humans, too. By pressing the Ultrasound button once the inaudible for humans sound will be emitted for 2-3 seconds. And, just like with Sound, long-hold would prolong the ultrasound, but it wouldn’t be continuous – for the safety of your pet, it would only last 8-9 seconds.

Overall, StopWoofer offers a good value for money. It’s safe for dogs, the controls aren’t too complicated, and it’s battery-powered. There are four modes in total, which we aren’t totally sure are necessary, but it’s good for those who like to have options. Overall, as far as anti-barking devices go, this one is quite reliable, so if none of the options suited you so far, you shouldn’t end up disappointed with StopWoofer.
